We made a bar graph about how many children are in each class. We found out that
Room 15 has the most students in their class. Room 2 has the least amount of students in their class. Room 14 has more students than Room 3. Room 5 has less students than Room 20. Room 3 and Room 4 has the same number of students. My class is Room 15 and it has 30 students in it.
Room 18, 19 and 22 has got the same number of students. They have 29 students.
Today at ESOL maths we learnt about capacity. We learnt about how much containers could hold. We learnt about millilitres and litres. I thought it was cool when we were measuring with the water.
At ESOL time we did maths and we learnt about capacity. We learnt about how many millilitres and litres each container could hold. The active bottle held the most and the yoghurt pot held the least.
At ESOL today we learnt about capacity. That means how much a jug or bottle or cup can hold. We measured the amount things could hold using water, a funnel and a measuring jug.
Today we learnt about weight. We did it with mystery boxes. First we estimated which one was light and which one was heavy. We put them from the lightest one first to the heaviest one last. Then we all checked if it was right. Finally we measured them and put a tick if we got them right. I learnt a lot about weight. I learnt about grams and kilograms.
The fantails learnt about weight. First we estimated the weight of ice-cream boxes. Then the fantails measured their weights with digital scales. The fantails got it right! I learnt about how measure using grams and kilograms.
Today we learnt about weight. First we estimated the weights of boxes. Then we checked if our estimates were right and we got all of them right. I learnt how to measure boxes using scales.
