Icing Christmas biscuits


I made biscuits and I put icing on them. I drew a Christmas tree and a star. We had the colours yellow, purple, blue, red and pink.

Our sandcastle


On Monday I made a sandcastle with fine brown sand. On the top we put four long and skinny sticks. We decorated it with white and orange stripy shells to make the sandcastle look pretty. I made the sandcastle with Natsuko and Jennifer.

On Monday I made a sandcastle in the sand pit.  The sandcastle had many shells and sticks.  The shells were bumpy, stripy and round.  The sticks were long and straight.

On Monday I made a sandcastle with Ji won and Natsuko. We made one big sandcastle together. Our sandcastle was made out of grey, dry sand. We decorated the sandcastle with bumpy, white shells.

I went to the Library yesterday.
The picture books are on the bottom shelf.
I can borrow a book from Desna.
She is the Librarian.
I like reading some picture books at the Library.

I have been learning about the library. I saw some Korean books in the ESOL box. I can borrow these books from the Librarian. I like to look at the picture books.

At the Mall

At the Mall, I ate a hot dog. Yummy! It was chewy.

The Horse Race

On Saturday and Sunday my mom, sister, little sister and I went Nelson and Hanmer Springs.
I went there for a horse race.
First I had to do horse jumping and then the horse had to walk carefully.
After that the horse had to run fast.
So I was lucky and I got the trophy.
It was really exciting because it was my second horse race.

Today at ESOL we learned about Synonyms. Synonyms have the same meaning.

Learning about synonyms

Today on the 27th of October at ESOL I learnt about synonyms. I had to do a piece of paper about them.
I learnt that synonyms means if you have a word say, big you look for a word that means the same like giant/large. Synonyms always mean the same. If you use synonyms in your writing your writing will be much better.

Today I learned about Synonyms.Synonyms have the same meanings but are different words.I like learning about Synonyms beacause they make reading and writing exciting.

We are learning use apostrophes. Yoon Seok said, "I use apostrophes to make words shorter". "I use apostrophes to show belonging", said Chris. Tae Hun said, "I am practising using apostrophes". Chris K. said, "It is good to use apostrophes in a paragraph to show belonging". "We played a game using apostrophes. I learnt that apostrophes show belonging", said Noa.
