Humpty Dumpty

Judith and Lennart sang Humpty Dumpty. We made a puppet and wrote a sentence together.

Maui

Maui is a team player because he catches the sun with his brothers.
Maui is a communicator because he tells his brothers to make the sun go more slowly.
Maui is a Maori person.
Maui is tall and strong because he fights the sun.
Maui is not scared the sun and he knows what to do.

Origami

We have been making origami and learning about other countries.
We made a mountain and welcome door hanger.
I liked making an origami cup and teaching the preschool.
I really liked them and I want teach my parents.

Origami things

Last week we made origami. Origami comes from Japan. We made lots of other countries things and learnt about other countries.

Sushi

I ate one piece of sushi. It had chicken and vegetables inside. Sushi comes from Korea.

My hanbok

On friday i wore my hanbok to school. It is black and peach. My hanbok cames from korea.

Door hanger

At esol i made a door hanger. It is red and orange. I wrote some chinese writing on it. The writing says welcome.

HOW TO MAKE A DHARMA DOLL

We made dharma dolls and you need scisscors and crayons and paper.
They are from japan. I am from Japan aswell.

Mountain climbers

On wednesday we made mountain climbers. First we had to draw a mountain and we needed a brown colour. We needed to colour the mountain.

The Hangi

On friday the year two little children held a hangi on the field. A hangi is a fire in a hole in the ground. Mr Page cooked some carrots and potatoes. It was yummy.

Last wedneday we made door hangers at esol. They have chinese writing on them and it says welcome. The door hangers have oranges on them,

Hangi

Last Friday room 13 and room 14 and room 12 had a hangi on the field. A hangi is a maori type of cooking. I ate some potatoes and I ate some pumpkin. The food was hot and tasted good.

My kite

Kites come from china and i come from china too.
On Friday I flew my kite on the field. My kite is orange and it has a long tail.

We made a Chinese welcome card because it was culture week.

Cultural crafts

Last week I made many different culture's crafts. My favourite craft was the dharma doll because the dhama doll has a funny face and colourful body. I'm from Japan and the dharma doll is from Japan! I liked the origami fish because the origami fish I thought was too easy but making it was hard.

Cultural festival

Last week we had a cultural festival. My favourite thing was making a "Dharma doll"(from Japan) because I like cutting out and colouring. I enjoyed making the doll and I want to teach my family because I know how to make it. I think my mum will like it.

Shared lunch

Last week we had a day when all the children dressed up and brought food from different countries. I brought something from Swizerland and it was called cacets und hornly. It is like a kind of spaghetti with meat on it. My favourite part of the day was trying all the food because I was really hungry. I tried lots of other foods. I had lots of sushi and cacets und hornly. The cake was delicious. It was a lemon flavour.
